*Rehman Medical Institute organized video conference with Chinese team of experts, learning from their experience of managing COVID 19.*

On dated 17th March 2020 RMI organized live streaming session at Rehman Medical Institute Peshawar. *Mr. Zia Ullah Bangash Advisor to CM for Science and Information Technology* and Managing Director Science and Information Technology Dr. Shahbaz Khan were the guest of honors at the session.
To equip health experts of the region with crucial practical knowledge of managing the COVID-19 outbreak, a video conference with Chinese team of health expert Professor Wu-Zhang Wang, HOD of both Medical Imaging Dept, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Dept, Shandong Provincial Chest Hospital is one of the designated recipient hospitals of coronavirus patients. There was live interaction between team of RMI experts, along with representatives of Lady Reading Hospital, Prime Hospital, Shifa international hospital. Advisor to CM for Science and Information Technology and Managing Director Science and Information Technology Dr. Shahbaz Khan was also joined the meeting and participated in the interaction. As a team, RMI learnt a lot from the Chinese team experience and will try to adopt their policies at hospital level. Recommendations from the interaction will be forwarded to the participants and KP government, which are going to contribute to the national cause of fighting COVID19 infection in Pakistan.
According Chief guest of the event Mr. Zia Ullah Bangash, today was informative session held in RMI which was beneficial for our region doctors community, they shared their experience and inform our doctors community how to manage the crucial situation in the region, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa already took major steps to control this covid-19, we also have in our plan that our doctor should have interaction with Chinese experts doctors because on ground reality the said virus disease started from Wuhan city of PR of China.
In Pakistan Covid-19 is in initial stage so we can control by avoiding public gatherings and follow all instructions issued by the Government. He further added that KP Govt already adopted the same protocol for Covid-19 which Chinese experts shared with us in today’s session.
Dr. Mukhtiar Zaman Head of Pulmonology department RMI said that today’s session was very informative and helpful in combating the fight against corona, the practical and to the point knowledge shared by Chinese experts will be implemented in the hospitals. Such events should be regular practice regarding the preventions, treatment and diagnosis of the Covid-19.
Every hospital needs to established fever clinic in entrance of the gate, a dedicated staff should screen temperature of each person and sanitized the visitor’s hands.
